Racism not welcome signs send ‘all sorts of ugly messages’


Sky News host Rita Panahi says the ‘racism not welcome’ signs that have appeared throughout Sydney suburbs send “all sorts of ugly messages”.

Ms Panahi discussed the matter with Cumberland City Councillor Steve Christou.

“I’ve been inundated by concerned residents asking: ‘are these signs going up on my street’, ‘it will devalue my property’, ‘people will think this is a bad street, that … the street is full of racists’,” he said.
