Shadow Housing Minister Jason Clare says the federal election will be tight so the advice is “don’t look at the polls” as Labor leads the Coalition by eight points on a two-party preferred basis.
“We need to win seats, not polls,” Mr Clare told Sky News Australia.
“But we’re ready for this, I think the Australian people are ready for this.
“This really is the best country in the world but we deserve a better government – and I think most Australians would agree that this government does not deserve to be re-elected.”
