Labor Party’s words in new campaign ad are ’empty’

Sky News host Paul Murray says the Labor Party thinks people won’t notice how “empty” its words are in its new campaign ad.

Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese said in the video, “Australians deserve a Prime Minister who shows up, who takes responsibility and who works with people”.

“When Lismore was flooding, was Albo in Lismore that weekend? No, he was at the Mardi Gras in Sydney,” Mr Murray said.

“And after the Mardi Gras, when Lismore was still flooding, did he go to Lismore? Oh no, he went to Western Australia to try to shore up votes in Perth.”
