According to reporting by local media, protests were held in cities across the country, including Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi. Khan was removed from power after losing a vote of no-confidence in parliament on Sunday. Following the vote, Khan said Sunday marked the beginning of a “freedom struggle” against what he called a “foreign conspiracy of regime change”.
