Horse racing tips: Swan Hill best bets, analysis for Tuesday racing

Ballarat trainer Archie Alexander can grab an early winner while apprentice Will Price should be among the winners at Swan Hill on Tuesday.

Herald Sun form analyst Brad Waters runs the rule over Tuesday’s meeting at Swan Hill.

CRACKHORN (Race 2 No. 4 – $2.40)

Resumed with an excellent effort at Yarra Valley last month and wasn’t far away at this track last time in. He won’t have to improve much to break through at Swan Hill.

MOXATATION (Race 3 No. 2 – $4)

Moxatation has competed well on both wet and dry ground in his two runs this time in. He’s trained at Swan Hill and should be thereabouts with the benefit of extra fitness.

REDJINA (Race 5 No. 2 – $3.70)

Redjina was strong at the end of 1600m when a comfortable winner at Ararat last start and finds himself in a winnable race and drawn perfectly to make it back-to-back wins.

FINE WEATHER (Race 7 No. 2 – $2.90)

Improved with racing last time in but has performed fresh in the past. He’s placed over this trip and has the quality to threaten fresh.

REDNECK PRINCESS (Race 8 No. 7 – $6.50)

Redneck Princess wasn’t disgraced in a harder race at The Valley last time and looks much better suited back at Benchmark 58 level at Swan Hill. Expecting her to be harder to hold out.

Apprentice Will Price doesn’t have a claim anymore but he’ll have five rides at Swan Hill on Tuesday. CENTREFOLD STAR (Race 1 No. 10 – $2.20), ZOUWEST (Race 2 No. 8 – $7.50), MARQUETTE (Race 3 No. 8 – $3.20) LADY OF THE FALLS (Race 4 No. 13 – $34), NUMPTY (Race 6 No. 7 – $6).

City racing returns to Sandown on Wednesday. Warrnambool races during the day on Thursday before a night meeting at Pakenham. Benalla will host the day meeting on Friday before The Valley meeting at night. The Lightning Stakes meeting will take centre stage at Flemington while Bendigo and Woolamai (picnic) also race.
