‘Golden decade’: PM pledges $20 million to expand school sport


Prime Minister Scott Morrison says there is a “golden decade” ahead for Australian sport as he pledged the government’s $20 million dollar investment to expand school sport. 

Mr Morrison said the Sporting Schools program would focus on students in years nine and ten. 

“It’s going to be another golden generation,” he said. 

“We’re moving into a golden decade of major events for sport in this country.”
