The Oceania Football Confederation is the only one without a guaranteed place at the World Cup.
However, New Zealand and Solomon Islands will play out the Oceania final for a place in the June 12/13 inter-confederation play-off against the fourth-placed side from CONCACAF, likely to be Costa Rica. The winner of this play-off will qualify for the World Cup.
While in Europe, ten teams qualified automatically from their groups and two followed through the play-offs, with Scotland still to face Ukraine in the summer to set up a final play-off final with Wales, who defeated Austria in the semi-final.
FIFA say it will now organise the Scotland-Ukraine game for June during the next fixture dates protected for national teams. Although the ongoing conflict with Russia raises a sense of doubt over the probability of the clash going ahead.
Germany and Denmark were the first European sides to book their place in Qatar, with 27 points out of a possible 30 in qualifying, while Belgium , England , France , Serbia , and Switzerland all recorded unbeaten qualifying campaigns.
