Andrews government the ‘worst thing that’s ever happened to Victoria’

Expelled Victorian Liberal MP Bernie Finn has maintained his "first, second and third" priority is the defeat of the Andrews government, which he describes as the "worst thing that's ever happened to Victoria".

It comes as Mr Finn has been expelled from the Victorian Liberal Party after a series of controversial comments about abortion.

The expulsion follows a motion to oust Mr Finn on Tuesday.

It marks the end of almost four decades as a Liberal politician for Mr Finn.

The ousted MP said the decision rendered the party weaker to take on the Andrews government.

"I have to say that what's happened today is going to make the removal of the government much harder," he told reporters outside state parliament house on Tuesday.
