Amazon is closing in on purchasing movie and television studios MGM, according to Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.
The company is looking to pay $US 8.5 billion for the studios and the back catalogue – including the lucrative ‘James Bond’ franchise.
Amazon’s acquisition means they are now large enough to take on media conglomerate Disney.
