Sky News host Peta Credlin has discussed the expectations for this year’s election voting process.
Ms Credlin said while pre-poll votes in 2019 opened three weeks ahead of election day, this year, they will open on May 9, which is twelve days before election day.
“We know historically people have … pre polled earlier, we still expect that to be significant, but it will not be as significant as in the past,” Ms Credlin said.
She also said there is expected to be “a lot” of postal votes this time, particularly from older Australians worried about COVID.
“The vote count on election night is bound to take longer than usual, particularly in tight seats.”
